From Us
We want to say, first of all, how much we admire you for the steps you are taking now. Without birth parents like you there are many parents that may never have realized the joys of parenting and we love and appreciate you for your decision.
We want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of important decisions for you and your child. We know that this is a hard time for you, but we know that the Spirit will guide you to the right choice for the both of you when the time is right. Les
Well, I am a military brat, but don’t let that fool you. I was born in Mississippi and have lived in Utah, Republic of Panama and Louisiana, and vacationed in most of the Continental United States. My father retired from the Air Force when I was 14, then worked at Weber State University.
Sue and I met when we were attending a singles ward. Our second date was to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Soul to Soul Tour 2000 in Salt Lake City. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and have never looked back. I like to take trips, take pictures, camping, hiking, reading books, and work on computers. I was involved in Boy Scouts, and still support them. When not working, I like to investigate trips to make, do yard work, take walks on the walking trail in our town with Sue, and helping others with a variety of things. My favorite work was when I was a scout leader for 11 year old scouts, taught Primary and Sunday School, and worked in the high school library after high school. I first was exposed to adoption when we were in Logan. I was talking to a coworker about alternatives to live birth, and found out he was adopted. He was only concerned that he never knew his birth mother. If we adopt, I want our child to know who their birth parents are, and love us. Sue
I was born in Utah and have been here since. But as a child we took several vacations together throughout most of the Continental United States. One year we even took my Dad’s brother and his family down to Disneyland. Imagine having ten children and four adults in one mobile home, but we had a blast from what I can remember of it (I was about 6 years old). I hope to get to take my family there again one day.
I like to take trips with Les, enjoy movies and reading books. I have always loved working with children and helping them to learn and experience things. My experience with adoption is through my oldest sister. She was adopted when she was a baby. I have admired that her mother made the choice. At that time, adoption was closed, and she doesn’t know who her parents are. She is looking for her parents to this day, and don’t want our child to go through that. Pets
We have two pure bred chihuahuas that are 9 years old.
Buddy I like to run, go on walks, and help Sue watch after the little children that come to visit (Les' nieces and nephews). I also like to cuddle up with my owners. I am the oldest of the two of us by 2 hours (Dolly and I are from the same litter). I like to visit grandma Aycock, who lives across the street. I sometimes like to lay with the cat, but he's only 3 so he's too energetic for me usually. I also tend to snuggle up to visitors and strangers unless I sense danger, then I will grumble and bark at you. Dolly My name is Dolly, and I am the younger of the two dogs here. I also am called "nurse dolly" because whenever someone is ill, or recovering from any type of procedure, I like to sit in their lap and watch them. I will grumble if they try to get up, when they are weak, or feel hot (fever). I also like to snuggle up to you, as a family member or visitor. I like to travel with my owners (my mommy and daddy), and investigate wherever we go. I am always full of kisses for anyone that will give me attention. |
